Joelle is that solid ground you can stand on when everything around you feels crazy. Going through my first pregnancy, I didn't have much of a support group that had experience with birth and infants. So I knew I needed to find someone that would have my back during such a vulnerable and unknown experience of my life.
I had the great privilege of having a stubborn breach presenting baby. During the pregnancy Joelle did an exceptional job of providing resources and relevant information to help me make the best decisions for our family. Her recommendations were also very helpful in finding the best local pregnancy, labour and postpartum support.
She was always easy to get ahold of via phone and would reply promptly. Joelle supported me and my husband at the hospital for a natural vaginal breech delivery. Her presence was very supportive, calming and warm. She did a great job of providing different positions/techniques for pain management and coaching my husband as need be. No deer in the headlights hubby here. haha
I would also highly recommend Joelle for post partum support too. She is very helpful, flexible and can just see what needs to be done.
Through this life changing experience not only did I get a beautiful baby but a new friend who can relate and empathize with.

Joelle is an incredible doula! I figured I may need some help following my c-section and being a new mom, and I'm so glad we made the call to hire her.
She took such amazing care of me. I found it difficult getting around, but Joelle had a way of making everything so much easier. She moved around items in my kitchen and bathroom to make things more accessible so I didn't have to reach up high or bend over. She made sure I had healthy snacks prepared, got meals going, and had everything clean and tidy.
I really struggled when my husband went back to work. Joelle was such a friendly listener and a shoulder to cry on. I honestly think I would have completely fallen apart if it wasn't for her non-judgmental insight and ways to lift my spirits. She's also just really fun to be around.
Breastfeeding wasn't easy for me. Joelle had so much knowledge and encouragement to keep me going. Later, when I thought I might have supply issues from past breast surgery, I was ready to quit. Joelle connected me with a great lactation consultant and I continued to breastfeed for another 6 months. If it weren't for Joelle's knowledge and loving support, I would have given up early on and never would have had the opportunity to enjoy that special bond.

I felt comfort in Joelle's presence during a personal, sacred time. She was warm and grounding and it felt so natural to have her with us in our home for my home birth. She offered support in ways my family wasn't versed in, and she also took pressure off them and the midwife, as hours of labor makes everyone tired, not just the mother! I really leaned on her for support. I can't say enough that I recommend having the help of Joelle as a Doula.
